Sudhir P. Amembal is Chairman and CEO of Amembal & Associates, the world's most highly-respected training and consulting firm in the field of equipment leasing, a U.S. $750 billion industry. He began his professional career in lease education, consulting and publications more than thirty years ago and was the first in the world to serve the global leasing industry.
Amembal & Associates has trained more than 60,000 leasing professionals throughout the world. Mr. Amembal has delivered technical presentations on leasing in more than 75 countries. His consultancy clients include large corporate entities as well as emerging market governments.
Mr. Amembal has co-authored and published sixteen books on leasing including the industry best seller, The Handbook of Equipment Leasing, and he is the publisher of an online global magazine, WorldLeasingNews.com. He has appeared as a keynote speaker at numerous international conferences, and has chaired each of the annual World Leasing Conventions from 1993 to date.
Mr. Amembal has been an advocate for animal welfare and rights since 1974. He has served as president of several animal welfare organizations, including the Humane Society of Utah (HSU), Wasatch Humane, The Animals Voice, and Psychologists for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PSYETA) (see Beneficiaries). HSU launched its first capital campaign and built the first subsidized spay-and-neuter clinic in the western United States under Mr. Amembal's stewardship. Further, he facilitated the launch of www.AnimalsVoice.com, the website for the world's leading independent online networking organization and print magazine, The Animals Voice.
Upon relocating to Mexico, he co-founded Amigos de Animales in San Miguel de Allende. During his four-year tenure, the organization provided free sterilizations to more than 3,500 dogs and introduced humane education into the school system.
Beyond animal welfare and rights, Mr. Amembal served as Treasurer and President of the Utah AIDS Foundation for five years.
Born in Bangalore, India, he now lives with his wife, Kiran, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
